So I'm basing this review off of a memory of going here years ago... but I recall it being deliciously good when I went - the key lime martini, mini grilled cheese with mini tomato soup and sliders remain in my memory. Yummmmmm. I need to get back over there and see if its as good as I remember it...

I have had drinks and tapas on their sky terrace now a couple of times over the last few years and I went to my friend's birthday gathering here on a weekend night where the atmosphere was much more clubby. The club was two stories with nice decor and a slightly trendy feel to it. The music was surprisingly good and the dj knew how to mix records. Drinks were expensive as expected. The sky terrace is what will bring me back here time and time again. On a nice sunny day in the Mission, this is a great place for afternoon cocktails with friends. Without the roof deck, I don't see a reason why I'd come back here. The music the last time I was there was good, loungy chillout and quite enjoyable. This past weekend, the music was not as good. It wasn't terribly noticeable and annoying, but at the same time I didn't note that it was good like I did the last time. The service here is average. It took us a while to get our first drinks, but the rest of the drinks and tapas came out at a respectable interval. The drink menu is pretty weak. They only have stella and bass on draught. They offer perhaps 12 cocktails, none of which really seemed that great except the Moroccon Refresher. I ordered this and was VERY disappointed. So far from refreshing it was pitiful. Really a terrible excuse for a cocktail. I switched up to a staple of mine on a nice day, a mojito. It hit the spot and got me back into a better mood. Seems that they switch out their tapas menu frequently as some of the other reviews had items that were not on the menu from this past weekend. Their website has a different menu as well on it than current. We ordered 5 items to split between the three of us and told them to bring them out as they finished making them. First was an olive plate. Only one large green olive that my friend said was pretty good. Lots of smaller brownish black olives that I thought were really good. Mixed in with the olives was a something that was probably a garnish and spice-I tried one and it was woody and unedible - tasted exactly like licorice. Next was the Medjool Sampler Platter for $13 - Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, and Tabouli. About the right amount of pita points and overall rather enjoyable and refreshing. I mixed all of the ingredients together for each bite and though it was very flavorful and nice. My friends said the Baba Ghanoush was somewhat bland. We had the crab cakes as well. Three came on a plate with what looked like a mango salsa and a moderately spicy orange sauce. Similar to most crab cake appetizers I have had to date. The crab cakes were average - nothing noteworthy here, but I was satisfied. The highlight of the food was the salmon entree they had. Appeared to be pan seared salmon topped with a red wine reduction and served over mushroom ragu, yukon potatoes and snap peas. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was pretty good. The snap peas were a great accompaniment and the mushroom ragu was superb. The potatoes were bland and average - they did nothing at all to add to the dish and in my opinion should have been left out. I feel like we had one other tapa, but I don't recall what it was. A gentleman who appeared to be the owner/manager stopped by our table to chat if we wanted for a minute. I thought it was a nice gesture. Overall it was $130 including taxes and a tip for the 4-5 tapas and 2 drinks for each of the 3 of us. Beware, they take cash only, but there is an ATM on the terrace. Somewhat pricey, but you do pay for the nice roofdeck terrace and decent views of the mission/SF.
