by Kathleen W. on It's funny how sometimes a single word can give purpose and drive to a group of indecisive tired people. Having just finished accordion lessons, paddling, beer drinking and gallery hopping all in one afternoon - we were at a loss of what to do next. "OYSTERS" I shouted! "Oysters!" they replied. A quick rateclubs search later we were on our way here. Parking was easy at 5:30 in the afternoon with most people already settled in their seats watching the Giants beat the Phillies. We got a table in the back and ordered mostly from the happy hour menu - 24 dozen pacific oysters, 3 bowls of clam chowder, 1 order of the mussels and a plate of fries. The verdict: Oysters - assortment of oysters ... not much to complain about when they are only $1.00. Not so cleanly shucked ... and some of the oysters I like more than the others. Decent / passable selection of sauces. If I ever open my own oyster bar - I'll make a sauce bar so people can make their own sauce. Fries - really boring ... like fresh from a frozen bag boring. Mussels - terribly disappointing. Half of my mussels were shriveled up and a few didn't even open so I didn't bother eating those. Clam chowder - the first two bowls we ordered were amazing ... some of the best chowder we've ever had ... rich, creamy with lots of clams (and not just filled with potatoes) ... I think I also found bits of bacon!! The 3rd bowl we ordered was not nearly as good. 3.5 stars ... but willing to give it another try for more dinner and less appetizer.
by kim y. on Its a great venue. I got here around 10pm and there was a lot of people. Actually there was a big line outside the venue. A lot of benz coming in and most of the clubbers are Armenians but its still a diverse crowd. However, its looked like a sausage fest inside the club. The lounge was pretty chill but there were girls fighting. Overall, its a cool club. Parking: Valet only Will i go here again? probably with tons of friends.
by Davis Dominicus on This place gets 1 star because I liked the ambience, especially the outdoor courtyard with fountain. But its hard to enjoy the scenery when the place is full of pretentious, stuck-up snobs and gold diggers. A girl literally got in an argument with the towel lady in the bathroom over soap! This is a place "to be seen", and I wan't even that impressed. Life is too short for this BS.
