during last weekend, I just visited NYC. tried to feel some NYC's night jazzy life~ I've heard lot about Blue Note as famous place to go in city and around world. I missed Chuck Mangione's performances, but other venue wasn't that bad. east-coast free style lap with easy listening jazz features made good feelin, too!! young local musicians, good air inside n out. it was 10:30 stage, so me and my friend ordered some martinis, cheese with fresh fruits and fried calamari. most of people had only drinks... if I visit NYC someday, I will def go there again! as Mr. Shaun Randall, one of those performer, producer, said 'Lot of Attention and Lot of Energy, "Atten-ergy"

Careful now, this Self Serve Yogurt Shop charges $0.39 per ounce and only provides tubs that could hold a half gallon of yogurt. The cool thing about this place is that there are roughly 12 different flavors (most fat free) with the options for swirls, as well. Once you choose your flavor there are many types of toppings to add, before you weigh and pay. I chose White Chocolate Macadamia and Outrageously Orange. The White Chocolate Macadamia was very good, while the Outrageously Orange reminded me of eating Baby Aspirin. Overall, the consistency and flavors did not stand out from any other yogurt places. I was disappointed with the topping selection. There were many crushed cookie, crushed candy, cereal toppings, but I thought the fruit was lacking. There were fresh strawberries, Kiwi and Pineapple, but the other fruits were either dried or canned (Maraschino Cherries). I added sliced strawberries to my yogurt and the total was $4.21. I guess that is fairly average, despite my serving being dwarfed inside the over sized tub. I would be afraid to bring a teen in here and watch them go crazy experimenting with all the different flavors. Especially, if I was buying.

Regarding Fri/Sat nights: Too much "Hyphy" music. Really young/silly girls...i.e. JUST turned 21. They charge $20+ unless you print a voucher and get there before 10:30-11. Crowd is mostly Black men and a diversity of women. There are some quality women in there but they are the minority. This is another club where below average women get attention cuz there is not much to choose from. A lot of the cute girls don't want to dance...cuz they know they are the minority. Everyone once in a while I go back and its never gotten better.
