Different. Went here for a birthday party.. we got a package rate which included "table service" inside the "Fun House", a bottle of goose with mixers, and a huge pineapple drink called the "dunk tank drink" - (tasted delciously tropical). I heard there was alcohol in it.. but def didn't taste any. Goes down smooth. Games and other drinks sold seperately. Ouside of the fun house there are lots of freaks (and geeks). A clown on stilts... who later juggled, and the dirty baloon transgender lady were somewhat entertaining. The carnival games themselves weren't very difficult, except for the ring toss on the bottle neck. I swear that one is rigged. Everything else seemed legit. The guy in the dunk tank was douchey... I guess that makes him good at his job, but in the real world it makes him an asshole. The lady dancers up top were OK, but not interactive. Overall it's a nice change of pace, but nothing really makes me want to go back.

I give Trudy's 5 stars because of their stuffed avocado + suiza sauce dish. It totally deserves ALL 5 stars without a doubt. I was always a fan of Trudy's during my undergrad years, and since becoming an alum now, every time I visit Austin, I'll always make a stop here. (I never knew how much I missed this place until I graduated.) Here are several reasons why: 1) Stuffed avocado + suiza sauce = absolutely DELISH! You'll lick your plate clean. Their Chorizo Stuffed Chicken is amazing and Fish Tacos are good too. 2) Chips and salsa (green chile and pico de gallo) are yummy. The chips are somewhat warm and the waiters refill them in no time. 3) The staff is cool and friendly (super Austin-y folks) and I love the atmosphere. You need to come here to get the real campus / Austin / Tex-Mex feel. Loud, happy, down to earth, casual environment!!! 4) Parking isn't so bad... just park in the neighborhoods and walk =) It's worth the walk. 5) Come here for your birthday (pre-6th street celebration) to get your free huge martini!!!
