One of my favorite places for a special dinner. I've gone twice for the $36 tasting menu and I still think it's one of the best values in the city for food of such a high quality. One memorable visit involved the $42 Mesibah with the braised lamb shoulder, and I can only hope it was not an isolated incident. Who would have thought the accompanying rice and chickpeas could get so fucking delicious?? Especially recommend anything done with offal. I truly miss the duck testicles, and how often can someone say that? The last time I was there, they had a foie gras option (and upcharge to match, although not exorbitant at $6) with a fennel caramel and sweet semolina cake that I'm still tasting in my dreams. Just make sure you go with someone good at sharing.

Went here on Friday night, got there a little late (1am) there was still a line but it was fairly short we were on the list but still had to wait a few min to be acknowledged by the door guy but it wasn't too bad. Get inside go straight to the bar no line (yay) get a drink from a very cute and nice bar tender, head upstairs WARNING the stairs are slippery, not well lit, and only 1 side has a handrail a girl walking down almost slipped and spilled her drink on me (and my white skirt) lucky for me it was clear whew! Upstairs the dance floor was super crowded and walking around was a bit of a challenge the floor up there is also kinda dangerous with it having some very non-smooth transitions from carpet to tile and back to carpet. It is nice the roof is open in 1/2 the place so it has good ventilation and does not get stuffy. Oh and one more thing the girls here are GORGEOUS and out number the boys.

I hate this place more than any other bar in Boston. It doesn't just suck as other people have noted. There are issues w/ this place such as being ignored by the waitstaff until you're w/ mulitple people. That's just the little things. The managers have been giving people a hard time since it opened. Last year they were ready to give the table I was sitting at to complete strangers to accommodate how busy it was since my friends were late. This year the manager is such a prick he hounds you & basically doesn't leave you alone like a stalker. I cannot beleive the crap that goes on here. They routinely play music when important games are on so you can't here anything but their poor music collection. They bump us to the other floors time after time because they can & want to be assholes about it. Seriously stay away from this place people-it is awful. Read about the type of place this is here: http://www.boston.com/... http://bostonist.com/2... **I also forgot to mention they have become a wannabe prentious place as they make people wear their baseball hats forward. I mean seriously, wtf is that about? How ridiculous, it's a crummy sports bar for cripes sake.** Does this asshole of a manager ever going to get it? I went to watch the Rose Bowl w/ the rest of the group & he talks to me & touches me like if we're buds. What a moron, some nerve. Could he stop harrassing me now?
