When I hear the song Copacabana I am transported to a swank disco popping off Studio 54 style in 1970's Brazil...the first half at least. The last half of the song invokes images of Lola, now a dried up, crusty Phyllis Diller doppelganger chain smoking Carltons, wearing hot pink lipstick, going through Gin like a four barrel carburetor burns up gas while a spastic miniature dachshund with glaucoma sits on her lap. Rouge looks like a place that Lola would hang these days. The red velour booths look like a fourth graders holy, worn out, grass stained juicy couture sweatpants. If I was to hold a seniors swinger party this would be my spot. Its like they took the boards of the windows in the foyer of a condemned Paris brothel for a fraternity party...crystal chandelier included. I won't wast much time talking about the crowd here except to say that I had no idea that such douchebaggery was possible. If sunspots are solar storms this solar douchebag storm should be visible from mars. I have no clue if that makes a lick of sense and I am sure that some geek is going to PM me with a correction on my metaphor so stay tuned for the update. The only positives in this place are the incredibly cute and friendly girls that bar tend and work for Nicks Tacos (they share the same space) I suggest that you go for happy hour on tuesday nights and enjoy cheap drinks, hot girls, cheap Tacos and then get the hell out before the shit storm hits.

I got here around 2:30AM with some random New Yorker about to get my girl and I in. Apparently the bouncer had some animosity towards our random hookup. Well we get in anyways and it was fairly empty (Tuesday night) nearing the end, of course. But it didn't matter because I coincidently ended up at Tiesto's table. No complaints here. It was awesome considering I met him earlier that day when we both arrived into JFK. Wayyyy cool! 1OAK you were great, but having drinks made by Tiesto. EVEN BETTER. Can't wait to go back!
