They take care of there drunken locals first. The bar maids had given us un satisfacory service all night long.
after desireing a couple of more beers for my large party you people did not want to serve us any more beers.
Your place sucks ass and I will not bring my party here again.

Holy crap, can we say beautifulawesomecool? I read plenty of rateclubs reviews hyping this place to high heaven, but even they did not prepare me for the uniquely fantastic bar that is the Frying Pan. The two tiered pier is nice enough, and a wonderful setting for knocking back a not-TOO-exorbitantly-priced beverage or two. However, what really earned this place its five stars was the Frying Pan itself, which is docked on the side of the pier and all too easily overlooked upon entering. This old lightship was literally underwater for three years, which explains why you feel like you've set foot on the saltiest most sea-worn vessel in all of New York. They've cleaned up the outside, and inside they've removed the rusty nails and the jagged barnacles obviously, but otherwise this is a ship they've pulled off the ocean floor. Nothing creepier than tiptoeing around every nook and cranny of a wreck. Of course, the whole experience was definitely enhanced by the fact that the ship was eerily deserted and totally quiet. We could have been adrift at sea, miles away from New York City's trendy nightlife. It was a wonderfully cool feeling. I suspect that this place may get crowded enough during the high season to put a little bit of a damper on the whole experience, but I'd be willing to bet that it is still worthwhile and enjoyable, if not quite as perfect as it is on a warm night in late September.

I love this place, as long as I am not there on a weekend night, when it gets loud, crowded and obnoxious. I think they have some of the best mojitos and happy hours in Austin. However, the last time I was there the mojitos were missing the sugar cane stick. Did these go away? Or were they just out the other night? I have been with my girlfriends several times for martinis and manicures, which is so much fun. I highly recommend it for a girls' night out! Also, I actually like their food. Great guacamole! I suggest going early in the evening before it gets too packed and you can catch their happy hour specials.
