by Jonathan S. on Oslo is a sick downstairs nightclub that embodies everything about Detroit Techno. It is super dark, and super small with several nooks and crannies to the place that makes it nice in a curious sort of way. I notice something different about the place every time I'm in there. I just wish that they had more recurring events, or just better-promoted events. I never hear about the sweet stuff that goes down at Oslo until either the day of the event, or after it's occurred. Parking kinda sucks on the weekends, but outside of that this is one of my favorite spots downtown.
by Lamont Hubertz on HA! This place is too funny...but funny in a tragic way. The guys are creeps. The music is pretty crappy. But I did manage to have a good time laughing at the crazy people/ awkward situation of a night at Webster Hall. Whatever it was ladies night and my friends got wasted. It was a weird memorable night.
by Edward L. on I have never not had fun here. Last night was not an expection. The place is always packed, the music, although not hipster, is decent for the crowd, and the crowd is always delicious. Now that the Fuego ladies were gone and had lured Greg V; it was back to Woods and I. We drank more, talked to more women. We went downstairs. I recall this voluptous woman in a terry terquious strapless touching the hem of my garment when we entered. I had bookmarked the incedent under "potential" and proceed to go upstairs with the crew..Sun Tzu says "knowing one's advantage is knowledge" and I knew half the work was finished downstairs. When I got there, the bumping and grinding ensued. Numbers were exchanged and future plans were made. Of course that doesn't always mean much; but it does add up to the fact that Cosmo on a Saturday night is always fun.
