by Kellie C. M. on It may have been the champagne, the altitude or the fact that I'm always a little "higher" on my birthday, but I must laud the Continental Midtown's Penthouse bar. I hosted my 35th birthday party there and I hadn't a better time in ages. Great service: my bartender, John, never let my glass enter the half-empty domain and as my friends entered and departed, staff was always right there. Leave the kids and the childish behavior at home (or at the Copa) as you're in the PENTHOUSE! And I'd dress for the occasion too: jeans and heels with some glittery concoction on top. I'm planning my 37th b-day party as I type and want to take it somewhere new each time...I'll be hard pressed to find another locale as stylish and worthwhile as this. See you there.
