by Lindsey J. on Usually Midtown isnt my thing, but tried this place out and it had a really fun vibe.. Went on a Saturday night and there was some good reggaeton/salsa music upstairs, but the basement is where the party was at. The bartenders were great, bought a shot for me and my friends. The music was poppin and the crowd was chill. All in all a good night and will definately check it out again.

I hear it can get pretty pricey, but my friend got us in to the front cuz he's a prompter...try to get that or get on a list if you can! Or else, you'll be waiting for a bit! Not a huge fan because you get your expected asian groupiething...and typically teenagers/college students... everyone looks like they have skin tight something on or something that'll fall off really quick! But I guess that's just how it is, VERY MEAT market place. :P Good music though. Rooms are decently clean, but lots of girls go there and I guess that's the big draw for most people?
by Arif R. on Nothing rivals the clubs of big cities like Manhattan, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and international cities. I was only slightly impressed with the interior of what looks to be an attempt at blending a couple of different clubs themes together in a two-room basement. First room has a bit of a retro feel with white vinyl padded walls with the back third of the room lined with white couches and about 20-30 13" televisions doing your "typical" annoying screen-saver attempt at being hip. Unfortunately, the "white room" as I will call it has only two small bars and one bartender at each. What I don't understand about these clubs is why they keep making it more and more difficult to get a "drink" - which is where 90% of their profit margin is achieved. The "white room" has very very poor ventilation and the club has even deployed a high-tech cooling system in the form of large commercial fans which they place all over the floors (great for drunk people trying to wind their way from room to room). The "black room" - is some attempt at appeasing Budha, but just doesn't get there. I recall only seeing one bar with two bartenders. Lines at all bars were about 5-6 people deep and 6-12 people wide. Basically, prepare to wait. The room is dark, difficult to tell where the dancing begins and the lounging ends. Ceilings are low (I saw several tall guys knock their heads). The music wasn't much to dance to. No matter how many clubs/lounges I get to around the world, most of the dissapointing ones all have the same theme: bad music (and by bad I, I am referring to music you just can't dance to), long bar lines, single stall bathrooms, low ceilings, poor ventilation, unfriendly/unhelpful staff, and poor location. Not that Temple has achieved them all, to their credit they only opened recently (so I was told). Anyway, by San Francisco standards, it's not a bad place. And so earns 3 stars. By any other city standards, it would get only 2 stars. Will I go again? Probably - I still had a good time with my friends when I was there and I personally only had to go the bar once.
