by Jonathan S. on One of the coolest things about Cielo is its amazing lighting rig. Their VJ is almost always synched up to what the DJ is doing on the decks, which I've always been a fan of. WARNING: if you buy a presale ticket to a special night at Cielo, bring (1) the receipt from http://wantickets.com, (2) the credit card you bought the ticket(s) with and (3) your ID (duh). I went their last summer without the receipt but with the credit card and I was turned around at the door and had to go print it out and then wait in line again. Very cool place nonetheless, and sexy website.
by Danial Reidling on If you're not standing there waiting before 10, be prepared to be treated like trash by the snotty-jerk doormen (and women)...with a good chance that you will not even get in. No cover charge and no 'list' means they can be really picky about who they let in. Knowing a promoter doesn't help either. Dress to impress or don't bother showing up at all.
