by Catherine C. on This is the place with the beds! YES, just like in Sex and the City but not as cool as you think. I was here on a saturday night for clubbing only, I did not have dinner here. People were mostly here to dance and enjoy the music. It was not as crowded as I hoped it would be for a Saturday night. I saw the blue bunny guy that fellow rateclubers mentioned and a few other performers they hired to liven up the atmosphere, but they were nothing spectacular. Also, I have to say that I agree with everybody else that the staff here were unfriendly and kind of stuck-up. My cranberry vodka was more like cranberry juice (Drinks were cheaper than other clubs in SF but very watered down. In fact, so watered down that I got pulled over later that evening and was told by the cop that I could have had more to drink and have been completely fine to drive). My friend got smart later in the night and started ordering the only thing they couldn't water down: beer. Conclusion: Pretty sure this place is not worth the $30 cover and the $3 coat check.
by Hassie Mccrudden on We had a sublime eating experience here. The food was fantastic on a number of levels - flavors, balance, texture, saki pairing, progression... We also had a fantastic server, who when solicited for suggestions, was not shy, nor was she incorrect. Everything she recommended was fantastic. wow. It was a bit of a shot to the wallet, but wow, fantastic. I suggest trying the expensive tasting menu and splitting it between two people.
by Mary Jo S. on As everyone says, the original location is great. So, I thought I would get some Salt Lick Bar-B-Q by the pound to take home since it is impossible to get Bar-b-q sauce through TSA anymore. However, $55.00 for a dinner for two is ridiculous. You are paying for the paper wrapping your chopped brisket. So, I passed and will continue to freeze brisket for carry on and check a well wrapped bottle of sauce. from the original location.
