Okay let me start out by saying I've been here a lot (mostly on saturday night). I want to say that my group of friends will no longer be coming here due to some circumstances. 1) Saturday nights used to be 2.00 ANY WHISKEY....pretty awesome right? well now due to "rising alcohol prices" WELL is 3.00, and anything above that is 5.00 +(i.e.crown). The last time I checked you can still buy a bottle of crown for around 24 bucks, but hey what do I know? 2) $1 beers are now 2.00 for a smaller cup! 3) the music sucks now, the ponytailed dj keeps playing the same music and doesn't take requests. I guess all good things come to an end, until MDR steps up it's game we're not going.

I came here for my birthday. we were all on the guest list so that was GOOD. Otherwise the line would have been way too long we'd have no time to dance! The music is poppin, there was a girl taking pictures and sent them to us which was cool because it was my birthday! It's very crowded and the drinks are way, way over priced. The bathrooms are really clean, there is a lady in there who soaps your hand and gives you a towel and lotion (if you want it, but I don't reccomend it since you will sweat more!!). There is a nice big, well not "nice" but nice and big outside area for smokers and to cool off. Music is mostly gansta rap.. so if you're into it.. thats the place to go. The best thing about this place is that if you want to save it for the end, they are open til' 4am.. they no longer serve alcohol but you can dance like you're in NYC! Try to get on the guest list otherwise it's $20!! Ick! Not a place I'd frequent, but glad I went

I gave it 2 stars ONLY because of the ambiance and decor. To start with the positive- I had a reservation for 11pm on a Friday night and was sat by 11:15ish. The food, however, SUCKED. It was 5 of us, we each ordered something different, and only 1 person's food was good. There's nothing worse than spending 60 bucks p/p on a crappy meal. The 5+5 fried rice was gross-- it tasted like broccoli. The only worthy dish was the filet mignon, which was only great because everything else was terrible. We didn't even order dessert to not have to deal with another disappointment. I definitely won't be coming back to Tao anytime soon.
