by Taisha C. on Visited Mamajuana last week with the BF for a little anniversary dinner. Nice atmosphere, I liked the Spanish decor and feel. Sangria is very good. I had the skirt steak. It seems like the places I go lately decide to serve me my steak medium-well, even though I ask for well done. Luckily for them, I'm really not a picky eater. I'll tolerate it, but it definitely doesn't go unnoticed. Eh... The gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp) I had as my appetizer was good, but not spectacular. Overall, I enjoyed the experience here. Would definitely return.
by Cortez Lench on For the past several months, whenever we would pass by the Clairmont Road exit off of I-85 my wife would see the Mykonos sign and ask "when is that place going to be open." Finally, after several months of construction, it has opened. Situated next to a Sam's Club warehouse on Clairmont Road just of the highway, Mykonos has apparently found a following as it was very busy when my wife, son and I visited on a recent Sunday night. The atmosphere is somewhat like a slighly upscale diner, as is the menu. I ordered broiled salmon with rice and a Greek salad. My wife ordered a seafood pasta and my son ordered a chicken wrap. My salmon was very tasty - a nice sized portion with an excellent lemon flavor. My wife reported that the seafood pasta was above average - but that she would likely order something different next time. My son said that his wrap was only fair although I am not sure that he fully understood what he was ordering when he chose that item. Food for the three of us ran $45 without tip. I thought that the food was very fresh and it was presented well. There is a large and varied menu and we will be back. If you are looking for fresh and tasty Greek food you won't go wrong with Mykonos.
by Gerard B. on Summer '07 was my first visit at BOB's and it was life changing. I now bleed hip-hop because of this low key Lower East Side bar. The drinks are great and approriately priced and the music is a mix of CLASSIC hip-hop and current joints! Reggae also comes into the mix later in the night which definitely gets the crowd pumped and starts going "RA RA!" If you are down to hang out with fellow hipster hip-hoppers and want to hear some good music, then BOB Bar is for you! See you soon Bob!
