by Brett R. on This is a tough review to write because I truly believe this place has such tremendous potential. However, each time i've been in there it's like (regulars only allowed) or something. The place is huge and it's NEVER been at even 15% capacity. Never any managers around that I've seen. The "wait staff" is miserable and rude and yucky lookin'. Also, they advertise happy hour 4-7 EVERY DAY but when confronted about them not giving us the happy hour price on a sunday they thought we were crazy or something? False advertise much? The only waitresses there looked as if high school drop-outs mad at the world. HOWEVER, the parking is great (private) the atmosphere is so warm, fun, and inviting and the food is always great and well-priced. So to summarize, great looking place with good food just try not to speak or look at any other humans while your there.....yuck. If the owner is reading this.....PLEASE SELL TO SOMEONE WHO WILL BRING SOME TLC AND GOOD STAFF TO THIS JOINT CUZ IT DESERVES IT!!!
by Stevie Buzick on Finally tried Cover 3. We were planning on going out for sushi but at the last minute decided to try Cover 3. My partner & I were very impressed. We both loved the layout & it's such a beautiful place, nice lighting, nice granite bar & great service. The food was excellent, I ordered the chophouse burger which was excellent. Came on a homebaked bun. My only complaint was I ordered well done & it was closer to meduim. I sent it back & it came out quickly & perfect the 2nd time around. My partner ordered a steak salad which was also excellent. The only downside we could find was the $5 draft beer. Shouldn't a draft be $3.50, maybe $4, but a $5 Shiner is a bit greedy. We thought the prices on everything were just a bit higher than they should be but hey.....it is a beautiful place. As for the sportsbar feel......not at all. Yes, there are TV's but the sound is muted. I hardly noticed them at all. I say-THUMBS UP for awesome food & atmosphere. Oh....& they even have a nice lounge upstairs.
by Rick M. on So I went here the other night on a date because it sounded like a pretty cool idea. The first time I hung out with the girl was at Jumbo's so burlesque seemed like a classy idea =). When I got there I was a little hesitant on what to think about the neighborhood because it doesnt look the best, but in hindsight, some of the best underground parties I have ever been to were on that same block so I figured I should just wait and see. As soon as I walked in the door I was amazed at the attention to detail inside that bar, from the walls, to the lighting fixtures, to the bartenders being beautiful women wearing lingerie....ok I am on a date, try not to stare. The drinks were good, the venue was gorgouse, and the shows were fun. What is not to like??? Now I paid to get in like most people, but I usually try to meet the promoter whenever I go to a new club I like to see if I can get on the list because....well, I don't like to pay. I guess the night I went was special, but they will have cool DJ's and burlesque from now on, every Friday night after August 1st. The normal prices are Before 10:30 Women- Free Men- $10 After 10:30 Women-$10 Men- $20 The first few people to email and rsvp loriannvalencia@gmail.com get in for free. I know there is a set amount of people, but I forget the number. I would say if you want to go on a Friday, just shoot over an email and ask. This is a great evening. Check it out if you have a chance, one of the many fun things to do in LA.
