by Neha S. on Came here for a bachlorette party. They put us in a corner room where there were two tables so we all couldn't sit together. The food/drinks were overpriced and not very good. The music was OK, but got boring pretty quickly. And then they put a $50 live music charge on our bill! Total rip off, wouldn't recommend.
by Fran Auten on LA Times Magazine hosted their Oscars Issue party at Provocateur and served it up in style. Once inside, you check your coat and walk through the rabbit warren of walls to the club area in back. The room is set up like a track, you can walk the loop and sit on the raised purple velvet banquettes along the walls or those around the interior. A pair of huge angel wings rest above the bar where cute bartenders tend to your every need. The hot waitresses wear strapless red dresses and served your prototypical party food: sliders, chicken wrapped in cucumber (ok, that one's new), and other amuse bouche. I'm not sure who the DJ was this night, whether he worked for Provocateur or had been placed by the magazine, because he spun old time faves that you would typically hear at a wedding. Fashion-forward, not really, but amusing nonetheless. We thoroughly enjoyed our "Bravo-lebrity" spottings and free, albeit weak, drinks.
