by Ergee A. on It was my first time going to this place this past weekend and I will never come back!!! First of all, if any of the owners are reading this please, PLEASE, FIRE RUSSEL!!! He is a straight up douche and a liar! Just continue reading. A friend and I were suppose to meet up our party at his place. Little did we know that the back of the club was where you had to go for rooftop access. We went through the front and paid $20 to get in. That's where everything went wrong. The person at the door could have at least asked which area we were interested in: main, rooftop, etc... -1 Then we headed through the exit towards the back where we were told to stand in some line to get to the roof. At this point, there were so many people cutting here and there and getting in. Obviously, cause they new people and what not. Typical club scene. We waited patiently until it was our turn and the dumb broad told us that we had to stand in the other line and ask for Russel to get to the roof. I didn't even get to finish explaining our situation. That b*itch didn't even give a damn about us. -2 So, off we went to the other line and of course the same thing happens in this line. Again, we wait patiently for our turn. I clearly saw Russel, the guy with the hat, while we were in line, and once in front I said, "Excuse me. It's Russel, correct?". Then this guy says, "Me? My name is not Russel. Why?" in a such a rude tone that I was really appalled by it. Plus, you can totally tell he was lying! I briefly explain our situation and told him that the lady in charge of the other line told us to come stand in this line and talk to you to get access to the roof. Afterward, the douche ignores me!!! -3 Luckily, one of the ladies came up and asked about our situation. She asks if we got a stamp already, and we did, since we paid the cover in the front entrance. So, she lets us in. We get to the upper floor to meet a couple of our friends. We then proceeded to go up the stars to get on the roof only to be stopped by some dude guarding the stairs asking us to show our wristbands. It turns out that we were suppose to get wristbands back downstairs from Russel, dammit! We explained our situation and what we had to go through to the guy but he wasn't having it. -4 There we were. After all the trouble and bad service we finally get through only to be shot down. So, my friend and I said f*ck it. We told our 2 other friends to enjoy themselves back at the roof with the party and that we were just gonna stay at this floor and make the most out of it, and we did. We had a great time partying it up. Unfortunately, the service was lousy!!! My first and last time at this place. Oh, hey, Russel! Go F*ck Yourself!
by Mercedes Forero on I love this place! Laidback venue tucked far from the rest of the nightlife in Alphabet City. I've only been there for the music performances (mainly Latin jazz), and they are great! Fairly cheap also.
