by alcaponekid2 on This is one of my favorite places to hang out when I have the time now. The atmosphere is pretty cool - a HUGE club with golden chairs and redish vip booths, carpet and background. Not too dark, just nice looking. The girls were very friendly and loved playing with the customers on and off the stage. The drinks were pretty cheap ($2 on Tuesdays) and you can play pool with your friends without choking on smoke. Overall, it was a great experience and I will certainly be back again soon!
by Aruna A. on Bobby's Burger Palce is interesting. Bobby Flay seems like a pretty awesome chef. My experience was limited here, as I don't eat meat, and they don't have a vegi burger. I am entirely basing my review on my friend's thoughts on his burger, and on my thoughts on my milkshake and fries. And quite frankly, I've had MUCH better elsewhere. For much less. Bobby's Burger Palce is an interestingly designed space. I think they were going for the 50's drug store lunch counter feel, which they have partially achieved with the long tables where you sit down next to whomever. This also reminds me of a cafeteria though - so I dunno how much I am a fan of this. However, the seats are comfy, and I sort of like the open air space, and the forced socialization. The service is great too. No complaints there. Where I do complain is about their ACTUAL product. Their food is okay. I hear 500 degrees is better - and I am excited to try 500 degrees. I was excited for Bobby's, but feel as though they fell really flat. The milkshake I had was by NO means speical. It was a milkshake. It was actually not particularly awesome. I ordered chocolate, and my friend ordered the black and white. They tasted and looked the same! The fries I had were regular fries - and oddly reminded me of french fries I've had that were frozen and then reheated in an oven. They weren't exciting. They were remarkably overpriced. My friend had a burger that was crunchified. Which, he said was cooked to his exact specification - but beyond that was just a burger. I don't think we'll be going back. Boo. I was excited for you Bobby's! At least now I know. To 500 degrees I go!
by Jared Ebbs on This review is for the little room. Was invited by a friend here to check out his friends' band (Morning Fuzz, check em out!). $3 beers and well drinks. The spot was cute for small shows and the sound was pretty good. But the kicker were the bathrooms! How can you not write about HUGE, clean bathrooms with chalkboard walls that say "I will not fall for bad boys"!? It's a chill place and security was cool (always a big deal to me). Bartender was nice and the last band was hilarious (Mount Righteous...like Arcade Fire but on crack at a circus).
