Squeeze through the small & busy front bar of chatters and drinkers, through the curtains into the back bar, a place (on the Saturday I went) of happy, happy people, lounging against the walls, crowding round small tables, or leaning into the big piano - expect cheesy show tunes, pop classics and anything else the hosts (or you) want to sing. This ain't no karaoke though, so have something to offer and you will be loved (or just sing along without the mic like everyone else). Pretension-free, friendly mixed crowd, VC for $80 a bottle.
by Lydia G. on Hands down, the best part of the restaurant is the ambiance (as if you couldn't guess). I love pirates, so I was in heaven. The pirate ship looked awesome, the walkways over alligater-infested waters were cool, and the wall decor all fit in with the theme. The mannequins were kind of creepy though, especially the one in the women's bathroom. I was also disappointed that you have to pay more to eat on the ship, and the ship doesn't open until a certain time at night. The service was great, but not too memorable. The food was ok, and was pretty expensive. I enjoyed the bread and butter the most, actually. I was disappointed that you couldn't choose the kind of medium you wanted to cook your meat in. I was extremely disappointed that they don't serve any kind of dessert fondue unless you call in advance, and the dessert they serve is for like 10 people. So there's no dessert option for a couple who loves chocolate fondue, which seemed ridiculous to me (but maybe I've been spoiled by The Melting Pot.) Overall it was a really fun place to go to just to check it out, but I think in the future I'd go here for drinks only.
by Glenn C. on I used to go here on Thursday nights for the 80's music. It's annoying how they keep playing the same shit. There's probably one good DJ in there....what's her name? The girl with rock-a-billy hairdo. Ya that girl. She's good because she plays some B-side shit. I'm gonna choke myself and pass out if I ever hear this again: Oh Mickey your so fine, your so fine you blow my mind hey Mickey! I love it how these young kids like 21-22 year olds go in there wearing throw back 80's stuff that they bought from the mall. I can't stand this place simply because I'm old. Usually I stand there like a wallflower looking at young flesh and whispering into my friends ear.."Look at that! Wow!" Then I go home and jerk off to that vision. I'm an old perv and that club is for young kids on ecstacy. I'd rather stay home and jerk off.
