Ok my very first review I give it a three star because i went on a friday night not knowing it was a live band. I don't have a problem with the oldies band playing, but i was really hoping to get my groove on but I'm a Top 40 hip hop, RnB type of fellow. I did like the gaming area the basketball court was my favorite, because i got alot of people to place drink bets so i pretty much drank for free. On the other hand i do plan on goin back to check out Saturday hopefully the main room will be crackin.

so i must say it's odd eating in the same place you have been to as a a club, but the food/ambience/service at prana were all very impressive! every dish we ordered was especially delicious - creative dishes with an exotic twist. our service was very friendly and prompt. it was a nice evening - pretty cool lighting as well - go early, and try not to think about what might happen at the booth you are sitting at later that evening!

I lucked out + went to Element for an exclusive "Free Night of Theater NY" after party October 16 . No lines to get in the door, no lines at the bar, no elbow-to-elbow inside. And a GREAT crowd of people who had all just been (or were planning to go) to a free show as part of the inaugural year of "Free Night" New York. So it wasn't a typical day at the club, but even knowing this, I wanted to go back again. In its past lives, Element has been a bank, the studio of Jasper Johns, a strip club, a goth club, a hip hop club. There was a particular dj--in training apparently--who added to the ambience. And a "strict dress code" which is not explained anywhere...!
