by Laura W. on We went here last night to celebrate our friend's birthday. We had a reservation for 8:00 (which was the only time they had available), so it was interesting that the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there. I ordered the TV dinner ($15), which was salisbury steak, mushroom gravy, garlic parm fries, cucumber salad, collards, and a smores brownie. It was surprisingly good, but obviously not a light dinner. The birthday girl had the $20 unlimited wine, and highly recommends it. Our server was great, but it was odd that they brought out a birthday dessert at the end of our meal and said that it was "on the house," but then there was a $2.50 birthday/anniversary dessert charge on our bill. The amount didn't bother me, but the fact that they just brought a dessert to our table, said it was on them, and then charged for it left a bad taste in my mouth. That's my only gripe, though, because everything else was great. Check out the bakery downstairs when you go- I got a homeade brown sugar pop tart to-go, and let me tell you, it was delicious this morning. I have half of it waiting for me at home, and I'm sure that it's going to stare at me until I eat it!

Not only did I fly all the way in from Amsterdam but several of my friends flew in to meet me for my birthday. here is his response. Thank you for your interest in 1OAK. Table reservations are available for bottle service for up to 8 guests maximum. There is a $1k minimum. Bottles start at $425. Reservations are held until 11:30pm. Please make sure you bring at least an equal ratio of men/women. There ; is no guestlist. Please confirm. Thanks, Adam It was a rainy night but we were one of the few in line to get in. We were on time and the minute the doorman comes i say I have a reservation he says," I can't let you in! "I say why? because" i just can't. "Plus you were late. I said no we were not! then it became crowded and he shouts anyone who had reservations for Adam all reservations are cancelled! WHAT THE FUCK! Stupid doorman stupid rules. The people weren't even worth the 1000 or two i would have dropped. I am not going to drop the race card but funny he just saw all 8 of us didn't check the list and said," I can't let you in"! And all my friends have money and look like it. What a horrible club and i hope their charma gets them! We end up going to Pink Elephant where i spent 2 grand happily and we were treated with much respect!
by Lindsay M. on I went to Lava this Saturday night, and had a pretty good time. It was PACKED- and the music was going all night. The music was ok- typical of a dance club, and the majority of people were bobbing right along with the music. There are lots of different levels, and it is attached to Cosmo- somewhat confusing since this is basically the same place. Four different bars where you can grab a quick drink- and generally quick bar tenders. I liked the different bars and the different DJs to get more variety in one club. There is also an outdoor deck so you can grab some breathing room from the mass amounts of people in close to the bars and dancing. A fun place to go with your friends and just let go for the night dancing and having a good time. Not the best atmosphere I have seen here in Atlanta- but it is sure to provide a good time.
