by Cassandra M. on note to self: GET THERE EARLY or sit under the bassists arm pit.* its all about the music right? yes. but i dont want to sit underneath an arm pit. it would have been nice to see Amel Larrieux sing from a better vantage point but hey...thats what we get for being late. the arm pit section. seriously, great space but do get there early or else youll be stuck on the side where the sight lines arent that great. *okay we weren't underneath his arm pit...but we may as well have been.

by Meredith F. on I work in Long Island City, and Sidetracks is a quick 5-minute drive from my office. I often come here with a co-worker for lunch and a martini or two. The food is very good- I've never really had anything here I didn't like, and they have a respectable drink list. The merryberry martini is my fav...and not just because it's my username! The decor is much trendier than you would expect for the area, but not overly so. I recommend sitting at the bar; the table service can be spotty at times. They have happy hour on weekdays- all drinks half price. Standouts: the cheese quesadilla, the shepherd's pie (it's HUGE), and the turkey club.
