Project One is gorgeous: part bar, part lounge, part gallery, sprinkled with gorgeous feather leather folk to help tie the room together. It's nearby where Potrero meets the Mission and SOMA, which may help explain its layered look - tall loft-like ceilings with plush seating and edgy artwork. I will definitely be back.

I took my parents here while they were visiting Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Overall, we really enjoyed the aquarium. The price was pretty steep for a 90 minute visit! We literally looked at everything that was included and I took lots of pictures with my camera phone (and no I didn't use the flash - i respected the signs that were posted everywhere). I used the audio at the beginning of the tour, but it kept hanging up on me. I had to call back several times to get to the next part because the pause didn't work, so I got frustrated and decided to continue the tour without it. Too bad the Beluga whale exhibit was closed... I hear it's well worth seeing, we should have gotten a discount for that!

All I can say is that if you don't act like you know what's up(and/or have a promoter to get you in), they will take advantage of you and leave you outside. My friend Stef and I were on the VIP list Monday night and when we rolled in around 2AM, the bouncers had us wait at the door. Since it was cold and they didn't ask us if we were on the list(plus we tried to tell them and they got all rude), I was like just call the guy, so he can come out and get us. Then the bouncers were like "Oh, who are you here with?" Only then did they let us in. Talk about jerks on a power trip! We get inside and the club is crazy. The music is awesome and blasting from every corner; good mixes too, not corny little oldies music like some places try to pass off as cool. However, some people were soo wasted and sloshing their drinks all over the place. I slipped at least 3 seperate times due to someone bumping me and/or slipping on a puddle of liquor. Granted, I didn't fall, but that is ridiculous. Our VIP table didn't feel so VIP; mainly because our promoter invited a lot of people. But we did get our free drinks, so it made up for it, I guess. The bathrooms were okay as well. The attendant was very helpful and informative, directing people to the open restrooms or moving people off to the side mirror if they were doing make-up. I'd love to come back to this place sometime when people aren't crowding and bumping you from every angle. It actually was pretty cool for the most part.
