This is my favorite place for cocktails in Austin. It's close to downtown, the patio is small and intimate, and inside they frequently have bands playing. On the weekends there is usually a long wait for dinner, so be prepared. Drinks can take a long time, so if you're in a hurry, don't come here on a busy night. Usually I stick to bourbon drinks, like an Old Fashioned or the Maker's Mark Pie, but they have lots of options to please every palate.

Vessel is awesome. What more can I say? It can get hot in there because it's a little bit on the smaller slide but it doesn't matter. This place has great dj's and a great sound system. Vessel will play house, hip hop, top 40, etc all depending on the day you go and who's DJing/ promoting so make sure to check their site to ensure you'll enjoy the type of music playing when you go...Lines on weekends can be a bit ridiculous but it doesn't matter when you know the promotor or dj that night, so no waiting in line for me =)

I'm new to SF, been here for 2 weeks now and ended up at the Endup this past Saturday night (mind you it's dancehall reggae night but I like reggae) and first thing I notice when I walk in is the pungent stench of a mixture of sweat and piss.  Not a good first impression.  Secondly it took us forever to order drinks since the bartender decided to help everybody else around us first before asking us.  Whatever, he got his $1 tip for 3 drinks.  So it's almost 2am so we chug our drinks and decide to hit the dancefloor.  Bad idea....the place was overcrowded, hot, and sweaty but whatever.  I'm used to clubs like that back at home in DC.  However it does have a big back outdoor area.  I'll have to go back there on another night and I might write a better future review.
