The reviews for this place had me really pumped for some excellent scorpion bowls or at the very least, some embarrassing drunk-dancing dive bar pics to cringe at the next day. FAIL. I felt like my ID was being checked by the mafia, although once the bouncer realized my friends are I were all of age he was super friendly. We walked up the stairs, which by the way I'm shocked dozens of people haven't fallen down drunk and cracked their heads open in a horrible PR crisis for the club. We checked out the dance floor, which was pretty boring for a Saturday night, and decided to hit up the bar level. After waiting a while to order a scorpion bowl, I was greeted by a super-friendly and charming bartender. He was efficient and did everything right. That was pretty much the highlight of my experience. It was all downhill from there. After what seemed like hours (actually only minutes) of mind-numbingly boring people watching and sipping our weak-ass drink (I couldn't taste the alcohol, there was tons of ice in it and it wasn't cheap), we decided to haul ass back to Allston to have to some real fun. I will say, in HK's defense, that when ordering my drink I heard another girl tell the bartender that she tasted zero alcohol in her drink and watched him nicely replace it without a single question. We wasted time, lots of cab money, and walking in freezing temperatures for this crap. Please don't make the same mistake -- even the great bartenders don't make it worth the eye glaze.

I like the layout of the club, and have enjoyed myself during each of the three times I've been there. The food is okay, the music suits the environment well...but a little more seating at the bar would be nice. I enjoy the crowds and it's a place where you can actually hold a conversation without having to scream over loud music. I will certainly be back once again. If you go with a group of people, you can usually negotiate the entry fee after 9:00 p.m...it is normally $10-$20/per person.

I just got done meeting up with about 20 friends last night at this place. The first thing that I noticed was the incredible view of Peachtree street and the sun dropping. It was quite nice. Maybe we shouldn't have had that many people because the place just wasn't prepared to have us. It took about ten to fifteen minutes to get a beer and at least twenty to thirty minutes to get just a water. I can understand that the waitress was swamped, but she should've at least asked for help as I really didn't get too much of a chance to order as I showed up about thirty mins late and the waitress was in the weeds. I will say, however, that of those that did get to eat, everyone said the food was delicious. I guess the reason that I give it only three is because there really wasn't anybody in the place other than us and maybe about three or four other couples. Since I'm a big people watcher, I would've loved to seen it in full throttle, but hey, I'm picky that way.
