by John G. on Have gone to a ton of NYC clubs over the years and have never been turned away...my wife and I present well-- maybe too well. The doorman said on this Friday pm we needed to either have a reservation or do bottle service. Uhmm, thanks anyway. My wife's feelings were hurt a little bit; but it was short lived as we walked right in 1 Oak and had a great time! I hate being shaken down and wont fall for it, you shouldn't either.
by Roosevelt Furstenberg on It was super crowded (of course), esp in the Summer when we were there. Lots of kids running around...complete mayhem I'd say, it's worth going for 1 visit. My fave was the beluga whale. It was crazy Some exhibits are pretty surreal.... personally, i like the Monterey Aquarium better; smaller but...there's just something about an Aquarium being by the Ocean vs in a landlocked area. Rather bizzare
