Venue, bottle service, music = relatively gravy UNTIL I felt that undeniable pang of racism. Living in LA I don't experience it much....which made the sting of prejudice that much worse. And in WeHo of all places? Please. Midway through the night, while we were scattered around the club, the manager moved our designated table without informing us, slotting an obnoxious group in our seats. Red Flag #1. Fine. We're spending some serious money, but whatever. We can be flexible. But did I really need a group of overbearing white guys yelling at me, flinging their arms in our faces, scratching my friend's eye, and pulling security on me to try and kick me out of the club...just because I politely asked why they were in our area? Hmm....I'm a small girl barely teetering over 5 ft, but judging from their aggression, little ol' me must have looked verrrry menacing that night. The clincher: they angrily told me we were "eh...probably relocated over THERE", pointing to a random table full of asians. Very original. So we all look alike to you now? (Funny, 'cause so do all you aging hollywood douchebags...) After we moved, they defiantly danced on top of the seating area above our new table and stood in our roped area, laughing mockingly and acting like bigshots. We complained to Voyeur all night, but to no avail. (There must be a surcharge for decency....) Voyeur = club territorialism at its worst. Not a fun way to spend your time or $ (or in this case, $$$$). They sauntered in, disrespected innocent girls, and got away with it. And more. Because they received perks, extra attention, DJ shoutouts, and bouncers personally escorting them out to flag them taxis (in the good way). I'm not naive--I know $$ and racism weave the world's threads, but to see it in action like that sucks. Well, now I know what Voyeur's priorities are. It's incestuous, really. I normally wouldn't  judge a venue based on its guests, but these guys were telling us that they "practically f*cking owned this place and were very close with the manager,"......so actually, I AM going to go there. Moral of the story: don't even think about visiting this establishment.....unless you're white (no offense to my pasty friends). Or willing to throw down thousands for a few measly hours of territorial bragging rights. Or you know upper management. Or better yet, all of the above. You know---typical hollywood club protocol.

Our company has held two annual parties here, and i've been here for dinner. I don't usually write reviews on Chinese themed restaurants in New York, because in general I believe the chinese food seen here is terrible compared to other north american cities - LAX, SFO, VCR, YYZ.. This is basically a restaurant that offers americanized chinese/pan asian cuisine in the vain of PF Changs and Ruby Foos. Service was attentive but lacking. Tables are too small to manage the huge plates the food is served on. The ambiance is club turned restaurant turned club - there's the odd hottie mixed in with the BT and tourist contingent, but doesn't make up for the food. Peking duck - crepes were stuck together and chewy, the meat was dry and stiff without the aromas of the BBQ process - $38 bucks 20 more than anyother in Chinatown. Chinese Broccoli - stir fried without sugar and in this weird ass sauce not soy or oyster flavored ???!!! The Kobe beef was also over cooked and dry. Pad Thai was comparably good - iguess coz everything else was so bad. In general overpriced dishes that are staple offering's which have flavours that were totally unfamiliar to my cantonese palette. Sorry never again.
