A nice value for lunch in an otherwise very expensive area to eat. I ordered the peoples choice bowl which included miso soup with my choice of a chicken stir fry. The miso was a little too salty, but stir fry was nice and tasty. They also have all you can eat sushi for $10 which I think I will go for next time. The service was a little lacking but I think this was because we ate in the lounge area instead of the regular dining area.

Well, let's see. First thing, the door guy was rude to me. He then tried to make it up to me by complimenting my cheekbones (which I don't have), but the damage was done. If he weren't hot as hell . . . So then we found a table and sat down, and we proceeded to discover that we were being waited on by the slowest dimwit to ever carry a tray. It took me literally half an hour to get my first drink. I ordered some sort of red wine, and 10 minutes later she came back and said they were out. So I ordered a different red, and again, 10 minutes later she came back and said they were out. I REALLY wanted my f-ing drink by this point in time, so I said, "JUST BRING ME ANYTHING RED." Another 10 minutes passed, and FINALLY my drink was placed on the table. This kind of drama continued all night. I even went to the bar once to get my own drink, because 15 minutes had passed since I'd ordered from our waitress. Of course, you know I came back from the bar to find my drink sitting on the table. Nothing like double fisting red wine. LOL. She also got most of our orders wrong - no bacon on my friend's bacon-bleu burger, onion rings instead of fries for my other friend, and I asked for NO chips and salsa with my taco (so as to avoid temptation), but they came out anyway. The one thing she did well was split the check, thank goodness. And the chicken tortilla soup is really bad. Blech blech blech. I would say the rest of the food was relatively tasty, though, so just avoid the soup. OMG, I almost forgot about the band! How often do you get to hear a band where they cover Melissa Etheridge, Maroon 5 (dedicating them to "all the ladies"), and various rap songs, while the old dude in the band humps the microphone almost to climax? For your sake, I hope the answer is "not often". ;-)

I saw The Elected and Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos here and it was amazing. Very good vibe and great mojitos. There was never a line to the bathroom which meant I could keep on enjoying those mojitos. Small stage and limited floorspace--cozy. The opening band was good, too, and that's rare. My new favorite venue!
