by neko n. on Really, I love Ruby Skye & especially the Spunade production. DJs tonight were great, especially, DJ Markus Schulz! Dancing with the DJ I love, Markus's music really made my night!! Dancing for the whole night long until now around 3:55 AM I want to sit down @ the couch and rest for a moment, a female security comes up & flashes me to get up!! What the heck !! Really , what kinds of customer service is this!! Yeah, Ruby Skye is an wonderful club with great sound system& amazing DJs but really customer service here is heck of suck!!
by Erma Beguhl on The boyf and I are in town for my birthday, and I wanted to go on Monday night for Black Gold. Well, our 5 hour detour driving up here nixed that plan, so we came to Koko's last night after a drink at the Hemlock. The music was not our scene (hip hoppy or something, Tuesday night) but we sat down and I asked about the "Tenderloin Shoot Out". The bartender corrected me (it's the Tenderloin Show Down) and told me what's in it: it's a series of four shots... Fernet, Coke, Tequila, Beer. Since it was officially my birthday I said fuck it and we took them. $14 for both, not bad! The bad came later when I realized how wasted I was and felt like crap this morning.
