by BudgetBougie B. on The rooftop is no longer their saving grace. A buddy held his birthday bash and ended up having to bounce around unnecessary drama caused by the security staff. Apparently a guest did not have her ID on hand. Chaos ensued. The party was threatened with being removed from the premises. Not that I didn't warn my buddy about this unsavory behavior from the folks that believe they run this place. My take is that the "B-N-T" (aka "bridge and tunnel") folks flock to this particular venue. Enough said. Had it not been the fact that this buddy is worth pocketing my distaste for this place, I certainly would have wheedled him into picking another place altogether. IF you must visit, head straight up to the rooftop, take in the view. Spend no more than fifteen minutes. Max.
by Jordan Quezada on [ 3.75 stars ] I'm a dirty martini girl, and the Martuni here is incredibly strong and yummy. I came here recently for a friend's going away party and, while under the influence of my one and only martini of the night, managed to form a band and even grew a massive, floor-scraping pair of balls that enabled me to go up to the piano and request to sing a song in front of friends. I was nervous as all get out, but the pianist was gracious and very accommodating. The songbook of lyrics is very thin, but fortunately the pianist knew Patsy Cline's "Crazy" by heart and I was able to Google the lyrics on my phone. All in all, a flamboyantly great time. Sadly, I have to ding them a full star for not having any food options nearby and only one bathroom, but otherwise I dig this place.
