During the week, drinks are half price til 9--which basically means that for a ridiculous $6, you can get a phenomenal cocktail made with the freshest ingredients you could imagine. From their signature cocktail for which they use fresh chunks of the watermelons kept on the bar, to other fab concoctions like the PYT which involves muddled mint and fresh berries, to pretty much every other delicious flavor profile you could crave, Ella is consistently a great place to imbibe. This ain't your average bar and these ain't your average bartenders--they're definitely more like well-versed mixologists who know what they're doing. --Bonus points for a live band on Friday nights til 11--Im talking old school in the style of Jersey Boys and all the ole' greats. Downstairs dance floor, when it's open, is also a black and white tiled floor trip.
by Jordan D. on Awesome happy hour spot right on the Hudson. Drinks are cheap, crowd and vibe are good and the views are amazing. This place has 300+ reviews so no reason to sing the same old song. One thing to note though: When you walk onto the barge, the boat to your immediate left has some really odd stuff on the inside haha. If you inside the actual boat and go below decks, there are random dance floors and lounge areas next to all these old machinery spaces lol. It's a cool and bit trippy if you ask me.
