by Guillaume C. on Decided last minute to take a flight over to Miami for a few days of well-deserved partying after an extended vacation in the Caribbean in early January. After we've consumed the best part of our pre-party alcohol lineup, consisting of a few bottle of Perrier Jouet and not to forget Grey Goose, we ventured over to Fontainebleu to join the LIV circus. Started out at the hotel bar for a stiff G&T, just to get the juices flowing after a boring cab ride. The first bouncer we encountered by the velvet rope gave us a slight attitude, so waited around for a few minutes before his friendly Italian colleague showed up. Being European clearly helped here (or maybe it was my fluent Italian:) The guy greeted us in a friendly manner and sorted the group out in less than five minutes. As a frequent club goer, I must say that I generally don't think Miami is that much to write home about. LIV however is an exception, amazing atmosphere which is both a result of the crowd and the DJs they sign up. Friendly fellow clubbers and great music, had one of the best nights out this year. Would probably recommend the main downstairs dancefloor over what's going on upstairs, better crowd and more space. Keep up the good work management.
by Keniel L. on Went there for restaurant week with my wife and two friends. The menu did not have the best selection for restaurant week, but it was good. The portions are not huge but, it its about quality not quantity. I had the steak and potatoes. Very good, cooked just right. My wife had the curry tiger shirp. It was good, decent portion. Over all service and food was great. Atmosphere was awesome.
by Mollie Steenberg on The decor is great, the food was good, the lighting heavenly. The sexy sleek look of Pods interior would impress any out of town visitors or dates. But what dazzled me about this beauty were its restrooms. John, shitter, WC, or loo, Pod's bathrooms are proof of gods love of humans. These amazing unisex stalls are spacious enough for u-n-i-sex ;). How progressive that men, womyn, trans, and intersex, can all share the same queue without waiting in inequitably long lines. This is also a great convo topic to chat up some eye candy in line. My mother always says that the quality of a restaurant's bathroom will tell you about the cleanliness of its kitchen. Considering I felt like i could have comfortably eaten in those neon stalls, I think that is the highest compliment I can give pod. :)
