by Nestlee M. on Someone needs to say that the Emperor is Not Wearing Clothes. The food was good, but not enough. We went last night, a party of four, and on the way home we talked about stopping somewhere for more to eat. We had each ordered drinks, a first course, main course and dessert. The bread was very good. A friend and I split the ribeye for two ($100) and the meat was delicious. It came with ten kernels of corn and two green beans cut into eight pieces, no kidding. Several people stopped by to ask how everything was and although I said fine, I really wanted to say that I was hungry .... and I am a small female. Others had duck and salmon... both good. What happened to the rice and vegetables? I love these side items at a good restaurant. The place smelled great ....like a grill... and the wait staff was perfect. However, we will not be going back any time soon.
by In Dekorte on Ruby Skye, Ruby Skye. I'm not as big of a club guy as I used to be years back. I actually probably haven't been to Ruby Skye in pushing a year. No matter, every once in a while when a big headliner comes into the city I like to catch a set. There's nothing inherently wrong with Ruby Skye, it's just too small. Well, maybe you get a little dirty and smelly at times. Coming from LA before this I remember clubs down there where you had plenty of personal space to dance and not feel claustrophobic. I've been to the Regency Ballroom lately to see a show. It's good to see that DJs are finding this place as while it isn't a club per say, it can definitely pack in more people, comfortably.
