Cover 3 is a place that I did not want to like. I really like to nail "Texas Monthly Burger" joints because I am hard to please with burgers. Furthermore, what is more easy to hate than a place that uses a cheesy sports phrase as its name and that advertises "New American"? Surprisingly, you leave stuffed, satisfied, and financially OK. I went for brunch with a friend, and the biscuits and gravy yelled "eat me." Well, we obviously had to give their famous burger a shot too... and why not the mac and cheese while we are working on depositing cholesterol into our blood stream? Needless to say, we departed Cover 3 requiring a nap. The biscuits and gravy was solid. Perfectly moist/borderline soggy/slightly flaky biscuits were topped with buttery, gut-busting hearty gravy flecked with actual green chiles and packed with large chunks of sausage. It was a great plate of slightly modified B and G. The Hickory Burger was amazing... I do not know how Texas Monthly correctly picked this one. It is so hard to do a good burger, in my opinion. And finding one among the million sports bars in Texas is even harder. The meat was perfectly moist and tender. The Longhorn cheddar was melted, the bacon was crisp, and the hickory sauce was smoky; what else do you need on a good Texan-style burger? Oh, and the fries are of a different breed. They are small, but not shoestring style. They are short, thin, and crisp. Nothing mind-blowing, but the Parmesan adds a nice touch. Lastly, the mac and cheese topped everything off. At $6 for a platter, it is by far the best value mac and cheese I have ever had. It was nothing special, but it was creamy, sharp, and rich. Regardless of the lack of uniqueness, this no-frills mac and cheese sticks to your ribs perfectly. Wow, writing this review really made me realize how great the food actually was. Oh, also we had this feast for a mere $23... that is also a big factor in my enjoyment level of many a meal. This may be the only sports bar that I would return to... but eating food like this with alcohol is probably not good for health. It cannot possibly be healthy to eat cream+butter+pork+bread+beef+oil with alcohol.

Can we sing it? All Night Long! All Night!! All Night Long!!! All Night! ;P When you don't want to stop the party and want to stay up till the rise of the sun......This is the place to be. Reggae, House, Electro, Hip Hop. That's my verdict. Like the rooms and the staff!
