This review is only for the rooftop terrace. The good - On a beautiful spring/sunny day, the view is amazing. The bad - No happy hour up here, you have to be down in the restaurant level starting at 4pm. The ugly - The service was horrible. This is a self seat venue with waiter/waitress service. We arrived at about 3:40pm. As we seated ourselves, the waitress gave us the drink menu only. No questions whether we'll be needing the food menu. The waitress took another 20 minutes before asking us if we were up here for drinks only or food as well. We told them we wanted to look at the food menu as well. As another 10 minutes passed, the waitress didn't really bother to check up on us. I know this place probably isn't known for their service, but a glass of ice water to start the with doesn't hurt. After 30 minutes of not being able to order, we decided to leave. The verdict - will not ever come back period.

I adore this venue. I started with Bootie, dabbled in Death Guild, and have taken a great liking to the Hubba Hubba Review. It's just got such a great feel to it, whether you want to watch the crazies or be one of them. Every drink I've had there has been delicious and after a couple of potent bits of liquor, you may be as I and switch from observer to participator. It's a great place to go on a date, to be exuberant with friends, or even to bring your family (your mileage may vary, my sister and brother-in-law are awesome). The live mashup bands at Bootie are spectacular, and I've never met a DJ there I didn't like. They regularly have the Swing-Goth dance instructor Brian come on by for free lessons before some of their big events, which is sooo much fun! The performers of the Hubba Hubba Review are amazing, and Casey Castille in particular is not to be missed! And while I have no idea how to do goth dancing, it sure is a pleasure to watch. I don't know what it is, but the energy there is just invigorating. I'm sure plenty of lame people end up going, but the groovy folk seem to overshadow them all. Every friend I've taken there has had a blast, and even a shy fellow like me ends up loosening up to the beats. And from a straight male perspective... just wow. There are so many gorgeous outgoing and friendly women there regularly. It can be terribly distracting, especially when you're on a date and after a couple drinks. I recommend coming with buddies the first few times to become acclimated to it!

I actually liked the steak I had better than the concert I saw. Cool space, if a little awkward. Get there early and get a little hammered.
