Went for the Laughing Squid 15th anniversary party. First, props to the doorman. He asked everyone for ID's with class and style and didn't cope a tude when I used his stool to fish into my gigantic purse to find my wallet. Door staff sets the tone and Mighty has it's act together! Then ... the ladies bathroom has lots of stalls and plenty of sink-space to place said gigantic purse on. Drinks are reasonably priced and strong, served by bartenders with pleasant looks on their faces. The dance floor is like a newly paved highway nice, smooth and very lovely looking. The DJ's played cool music and welcomed my tambourine banging. Really! How many DJ's want some chick making tingle tangle noises to their precious beats? They did! (It helps that I know how to play the thing.) Big up to Mighty!

geno's looks like the vegas strip and goes with the less is more approach to cheesesteaks. the grilled onions and bread taste better than pat's, but they put far less meat in the sandwich. onions are sweet and not over-cooked in grease. the bread has a slight crisp to it. on the up side is not as greasy as pat's. they also put less cheese wiz on my husband's, but i am not sure he really needs anymore hydrogenated vegetable oil and yellow dye #6 either. sometimes you just have to know what all the hype about this street corner is all about. it'll cost you about $20 to compare and contrast pat's versus geno's. and it will probably be enjoyable if your expectations are not that high.

I came here early on Sunday morning with some friends to watch Doc Martin throw down a 6 hour set. What a difference new management makes! The bouncers were professional. No trash talking, mean mugging, or man handling like my previous experiences. The sound system was pumpin' and everyone was having a good time. We chilled outside underneath the canopies a lot of our time because it was SO packed inside. This is to be expected anytime Doc is on the bill so it was no surprise! Despite the rain, we were very comfortable out there. Some of our friends had never been to the Endup had a wonderful time as well. I will most definitely return and would like to thank Sydney for the opportunity to experience Endup again.
