The 6 hour set that David Guetta put on during WMC weekend will go down as one of the most epic nights. The man spun from 1 A.M. to 7 A.M. non-stop and managed to bring on the Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Rowland during the evening. There are a lot of negative/lukewarm reviews and they mostly seem to be from locals - which I can understand. But if you are a tourist looking for a place where it is guaranteed to be packed with people having fun - Mansion is the place to be. Sure the $3000 table minimum (during WMC weekend) was excessive but there were many other ways to get in. Mansion does not seem to get really going until 1 A.M. - but the place is huge and when people do start to fill in, it is packed to the gills with the happiest dancing people on earth. The crowd is definitely the "it" set with the most beautiful women I have seen outside of NYC. Most of the people could have easily passed as models and actors/actresses. The sound system is extremely loud (so loud that the next day I was yelling at the airline counter lady without even knowing it since my ears were still ringing). +1 for having awesome hosts and hostesses +1 for the VIP area being right in front of the stage P.S. I love Miami and its drink until the sun comes up attitude.

At Rouge, you always know what you're gonna get. Friday nights are consistently strong -- lots of women from San Jose dancing on the bartop and even more dudes sitting there watching with dollar bills folded lengthwise. But they keep coming back. . .

I stayed here last Thursday and Friday while in town and was mostly happy with the experience. All over, the service was great, and very proactive, so I appreciate that above all else. But this is why I noticed the service so much: 1) When checking in, their computers were down, so my room couldn't be confirmed, but the friendly reception woman gave me drink tickets to hang out at the pool bar. 2) The wireless service was very spotty throughout my stay, but they tried to help by giving me a complimentary cable to try hardwiring my laptop. 3) They have great pool bar (see my review of the Tropicana) - but on most nights they have independent promoters controlling the tight and sceney guest list. As someone staying in the hotel, I thought this just should include all guests. On Thursday night, at first the promoter denied us, but then I went into the hotel and asked a hotel manager. He was kind enough to actually escort us in past the line. Very cool. 4) While I didn't have a car, I was charged for 3 nights of valet parking. At check out, the manager on duty didn't even question it, and took the charges off, but still a hassle to not be able to check out from my room. The rooms: nicely furNished, great bathroom products, nice cleaning staff. Overall, a great hotel experience, and make sure to see my reviews of the Tropicana, and their burger restaurant 25 Degrees.
