by Val Stenn on The only reason they're not getting one star is because of the manager's hospitality. I had a pseudo-bad experience there tonight. I came in for a Look Modeling party with a friend of mine. From the minute we walked in, I got a manic, unorganized vibe from Sugar; the feeling that things were a little out of control behind the bar. However, the main reason for our bad experience was due to one of the bartenders who was rude, short, abrasive and impatient. After I asked/notified one of the other employees whether or not they were serving the right side of the bar, only then did she come over. We ordered our three drinks and she brought them over but somehow didn't know the price. "Um, it's either gonna be $32 or maybe $36" bartender says. "OK...let me just figure this out for a second..." I reply, as she becomes frustrated and shouts "UGH just let HIM pay for it", referring to my friend. :trying to remain calm:.... OH, and I mustn't forget how she had cut her finger about 10 minutes earlier, and subsequently served us our drinks and gave my friend his credit card back with blood encrusted on them. However, the managerial person on duty was apologetic and friendly. Giving manager 5 stars and bartender 1 star. Thus, 3 stars.
by Michael S. on Clermont Lounge is a staple in Atlanta and is among one of those things you HAVE to do during your time in the city. I'll admit it is definitely an acquired taste. But if your taste is naked women and cheap beer, then you found your place. There isnt much I can say that will make you want to go there more. But if you're looking to cut loose and sick of the same old same old. Give the old Clermont a shot.
