Here's the breakfast rundown (see my photos): - brioche chocolate chip: excellent - monkey bread danish: good - blueberry turnover: OK. The Pepperidge Farm frozen turnovers are better.

I love the restaurants in Atlanta that make you feel like you are NOT in Atlanta, but somewhere far away...a vacation without having to go very far. Top that with delicious food and an authentic atmosphere and Alfredo's is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta. I always feel like I am in an episode of the Soprano's when I walk in...dark lighting, waiters with accents and slight attitudes and humor (and who once you get to know always take care of you like family). It is not trendy or chic, but nonetheless comforting. My absolute favorite dish and one I get every time I go is the Chicken with Pesto. It is creamy and delicious and ohhhh so good. Get a bottle of wine to wash down a mixture of olives/vegetables and garlicy (delicious) bread while waiting for your food. The wait, especially on the weekend, can be very long so make a reservation if you want to get right in.

I cringed when I first heard the city of Atlanta was planning a multi- million dollar fish facility to encourage more visitors to spend money downtown. For years I've been perfectly happy to take a day trip to Chattanooga to visit that aquarium and I found the whole Bernie/Atlanta aspect somewhat mean spirited. I mean, why an aquarium? In Alanta? And downtown? Was it just to try to shut down the fine tank in TN? I mean, most of what Atlanta tries to accomplish inevitably falls into a financial/political scandal or disrepair...so why bother with such an expensive endeavor? I was wrong. The aquarium is great. It's huge, clean and modern...and crowded. Love the penguins! Hate the steep admission. Love the location on the park. Get your reservation/ticket and go make a day of it. It's worth it.
