by Pat Mesecar on Ya know. I kind of like this club. If you take away the clueless door people and the normal BS that surrounds going to clubs, it isn't that bad. And to the group of 4 dudes in line before us...its called bring WOMEN. Always hang out a block away from the club, offer to by her a drink and then slide right through the velvet rope...geeze. The big room is great. Sound system is tight. There is plenty of room to get your groove on and the crowd (at least the night I was there) didn't seem to bother me much.
by Malcom Figarsky on I've definitely had mixed feelings about this place - and it really because of the type of nights held there. Friday nights - asian nights - i would NEVER go again on a night like this. People are not friendly, lame DJ's who can't mix, and it really is like being in high school. no thanks. Giant on Saturday at Vanguard - thats a whole different story. much better managed, a mixed crowd, and the sound system is used correctly. This is when Vanguard is at it's best I think and I really enjoy being there then.
by Theresa l. on Some friends and I came here after being disappointed at another club and it was about 12:30 am. We approached the bouncer who informed us that that night was for a private (I wanna say BET?) party, but I guess he saw that we were 4 cute little asian girls who could stir no trouble and so he let us in. SCORE!! Plus, there was no cover!! DOUBLE SCORE!!! We go in, the music is great, there's ample seating..we didn't see any celebs (so it makes us wonder??), but the crowd is cool and mixed which I LOVE, so I don't care - it's not like I'm a celeb fiend anyways. Needless to say, the night ended on a lovely note with me getting my groove on!! Holler!!!
