by Anibal Schellenberge on Friday night, 11:30 P.M.: Me (to the bouncer): It's just the two of us, may we go in? Him (yelling at everyone including me): Get on the grass, we need to clear the area, we have celebrities coming in! So my friend and I are herded to this grass area that is reserved for non-celebrities, and in about 10 minutes we are in. The place itself is beautiful and spacious, but the dance floor acts like a walkway and I constantly felt like I was being pushed around. The people were (mostly) beautiful and it looked like they were filming something there. Surprisingly, the girl to guy ratio wasn't as skewed as it usually can be at these places. My grey goose on the rocks was 13 bucks, but the glass was huge! Definitely a good alcohol:dollar ratio. The music was mostly hip-hop but not too danceable. Sometimes the DJ mixed in something good but then it'd be back to boringness. Of course, he started playing the good stuff at the end of the night, when the lights came on and it was time to go home. Oh, and the celebrities that the bouncer was anticipating never did make it to myhouse.
by Sonny Felsted on My friend who is really into Indie Rock invited me to come here to listen to Shiny Toy Guns. They were good but I still prefer NO SECOND TROY! I don't really mind the venue since it's near me and it looked pretty clean in pitch black-so whatever! I guess I would come back here when they have live bands playing but not too sure about their regular night.
