I will give the event a 5 star because it allowed us to see and experience the AOS on the cheap ($10) without screaming, crying, whining of little children, not to mention the crush of the strollers. Although the booze was EXPENSIVE ($14 for 2 beers YIKES) we were able to maneuver through the crowd easily enough. If the sky had been clear we would have been able to go to the roof for star viewing as they allow that. Tips: BUY TICKET IN ADVANCE, as it allows you to skip the line which is huge. Bring cash. The line for the ATM is long as well. As others have noted, get tickets for the Planetarium right away as they go quick. We had the chance to get tickets but skipped it as the show was about Earth, not Space. Go to the Rainforest right when you get in as it closes at 8...which is weird for the AOS to do this on a night they are trying to attract crowds for??? Anyway, it's a fun experience and rather hot on the inside (80 degrees) so take your jacket/coat off before entering.

Saw Common here in September. Great venue ,was totally crowded but never got too hot that it was uncomfortable. Sound was good...Lighting was phenomenal. Only complaint about this place is the line to get in. My friends bitched the whole time because neither one was used to waiting in lines (T's exhusband is a promoter and D used to work for a local radio station) . We nearly skipped out on it because of the wait. Luckily i didnt miss the experience of having to shove my camera down my crotch. Yall take note that absolutely no cameras are allowed inside. You just havent lived until youve felt cold hard steel against your vaginal lips, all i have to say is thank god i brought my smaller portable camera!

I ditto Paul W.'s experience. My partner and I had our commitment ceremony there this past April and the space was perfect. We had 200+ guests and buffet sit down with partial seating and it worked out well. We had tables for most guests but hate empty tables so we had some cocktail tables for people to use. There's also a big lounge area with sofas and chairs. Dusty and his assistants Stephanie and others can offer everything (DJ, caterer, party rental, flowers, lighting, cake, babysitting, coat check, security, etc.) or just the space (with bar service required). We had him select the caterer, party rental, lighting, cake, babysitting, security and coat check. They were all awesome. Our guests are still talking about the cake and the food. He also worked well with the vendors we chose: photographer, DJ, and florist. The space is almost like a blank canvas so I'm sure it can convey any feel you like. We liked the artwork and the open feel so we dressed it up with flowers and lighting and that made it urban chic and spacious for all our guests. I would recommend the Terra Gallery for large events. I can't thank them enough! Parking depends on when you have your event. Street parking is okay if there are no events going on next door. However, they do give the option to rent out a parking lot one block away with valet.
