by Knuckles on I met the owner one nite while i was having breakfast. Awesome guy. I decided to check out his place. Its not a big bangin nite club. Its Clean. Your feet dont stick to the floor. The drinks are WELL below avg priced.
They have an ATM. They have almost constant music playing. Its a very comfortable place. I love it.

Halibut dish was especially wonderful, and the appetizer assortment of cheeses, hummus, babaganoush, etc was great. Very expensive so not a weekly visit for most of us...
by Stanford Mcfate on i love this place. ...great neighborhood place that's a block away from me. i stop there all the time to get some take-out, but the best time is sitting outside when it's nice, grabbing some wine and food, then grabbing a drink in the lounge afterwards. everybody inside is extremely friendly. i was there the other day and someone inside had me try their clam casino antipasta while i was waiting for my meal. now, i'm going to have to order clams casino everytime i go there--you've got to try them!
by elizabeth e. on Ahh, the Silk City Diner. All new and shiny, you really look just like a real diner! And you were! Once. Today you are an upscale boutique version of your former self. I'm not complaining, really--I appreciate the portobello mushroom on my meatloaf. I love the trendy presentation of the food. And I love your decor. I just think--and really this is just a suggestion--that if I'm going to plunk down $19 for carne assada that your service should no longer resemble that of a roadside greasy spoon. Actually, I think I've received better service at a greasy spoon. The food was so tasty, I ate it all and almost asked for seconds! But the staff was so off putting that I was almost scared to. But, hey, what do you expect from the guy that owns North Third? At least I could see my food, but I attribute that to the evening sun and not to the decorator's lighting abilities.
