So disappointing. Went on a Wednesday. Where to start... The DJ. Nice to look at, but one of those that kept changing genres of music every other song, and then only playing quick parts of every song. So frustrating. I liked that the open air patio was there, always nice to have a smoking section, but really, haven't they heard of heaters? It was freezing. And it's a huge smoking section, so why don't they keep people from smoking on the dancefloor? Someone ashed in my drink and almost burned me. Layout is awkward - the dancing area (I call it this cuz it was infront of the DJ) was the only super crowded part of the place, to the point that you could barely squeeze in to the tables, and then you're stuck in there and have to squeeze your way out the way you came. I did like the lighting, but the biggest disappointment was the overall decor. Or lack thereof. It's ALICE IN WONDERLAND! Think of all the outrageous possibilities and beautiful things that could be. Well, they didn't do that much here. There were a few cool unique areas, but I expected a lot more. It was minimalistic and bare feeling. SLS and XIV are more like Wonderland than this place.

An Asian, an Indian, a black guy and a Jew walk into a (Hof)brau. A plump Latina walks by our table and does a double-take. She's got a back-end so large that Sir Mix-a-Lot un-retired to retract his earlier sentiment. "Hey! You guys took a wrong turn somewhere... The math club meeting is down the street." FML

We went to S.O.B. for Sunday brunch on our last day in NYC. It was a prix fix menu with all you can drink sangria for $28/person. The theme was live Bossa Nova music, one of my favorites! :) The atmosphere was great. Waitresses were really pretty and friendly. Sangria was plenty. Food was pretty good. I can't really remember the end, except that I was burping up sangria and food. Come to think of it, I can't really remember what we ate there except for sangria.... -1 star for not letting me get more bread unless we paid $5. They had an assorted bread basket at the table. I really liked one of the breads, and asked for more, but she said they already came premixed, so i couldn't just get more of one bread. When I asked if I could just purchase that one bread, she said no, i had to get the whole assorted basket for $5, even though it only had 3 pieces of the bread I liked in it. Boo to them!
