I've visited the park a couple times in the past few years, and while i absolutely love the adorable outdoor/gardenish area, and the ambiance is in general beautiful, after finally returning for dinner tonight i think i'll keep my visits to an afternoon beverage capacity... Since we waited to make dinner reservations until late saturday afternoon for saturday night (my dad was visiting so i wanted to take him somewhere nice that i'd been dying to try out for awhile), everywhere was booked until 11 pm... Honestly I'm not even sure how the park finally crossed our minds, but the menu looked fairly diverse, and as it is a bit out of the way from subways, and the venue is enormous they could easily accommodate us for dinner. We walked over from 7th, and they seated us in the garden area--but naturally in the middle between multiple crowded tables, which i hate..they said we could sit elsewhere when i asked but that the service would be slow, so we stayed in the middle of the other tables. My dad wanted to get the calimari to share, then a caesar salad, then a burger, while i ordered a yellowfin i had never heard of that comes with watermelon and other bizarre sounding garnishes, and the salmon (substituting spinach for the corn)...they were out of yellowfin so it was bluefin today, but the appetizer while somewhat bizarre was actually quite good.  The calimari wasn't for me as they didnt have the tentacle type pieces, only the rings, of which i'm less fond. My fish was extremely "fish tasting," i.e. little flavor other than of the strong fish itself.  My dad liked his burger, but after the meal i did feel somewhat ill... All in all it was cute, as always, but nothing phenomenal, and probably wouldn't be back for food. Sangria pitchers during the day on the other hand, absolutely. Also if you like homemade thin crusted pizzas, they make those as well, which looked as though they could be good-and my dad's burger smelled like one that was cooked on an actual grill (rare and a plus in my book). The entire bill was only around $50, so well priced at least!

WOW. This place has left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I cannot sleep with a clean conscience without warning my fellow rateclubsers about this hellhole. Ready? 1) "Patrick", this middle aged guy who apparently thinks he's the shit because he promotes at the club/decides who gets in, is on the biggest power trip ever. He has the most snobby attitude toward patrons, and he'll only answer you if you're waving a credit card at him or you know him personally. He made it seem like the club was at capacity and made everyone wait. I waited for ~30 minutes (and all the people kept pushing and trying to get ahead in front), went in, and it was still half empty. Waste. 2) The crowd there is NOT the business. Because of its location (smack dab in the middle of tourists..particularly European tourists), the hype surrounding this club is sooooo overdone. Everyone's pushy, rude, and have no regard for anyone but themselves. The guys are also oldddddd. There were some couples there that were well into their 40's and 50's who apparently got amnesia and forgot their age. The girls are stuck up, and all they do is sit there smoking their cigarettes trying to die from lung cancer. On top of that, some girl had the nerve to give my friend a stare when she accidentally hit my friend with her lit cigarette! Oh my god. I swear, if I wasn't wearing white tonight, I would've decked her in the face. 3) Personally, I don't like techno/house music, and if they do play it, they should play a variety. I hate DJs who only work with one genre of music. Maybe it's my bad for not checking earlier, but damn, my ears are still ringing from the 'OONCE OONCE OONCE'. 4) $25 cover for ladies unless you have a table. Uhh.... way overpriced. Things I liked: 1) The lighting. It's probably safe to assume that a bulk of the admission sales goes toward their electricity bill. Save your money, save your clothes from smelling like cigarettes, and save your time. Unless you like getting shoved, have a couple hundred of dollars to waste, and like that ringing sensation in the your ear afterwards from trashy music, you might wanna avoid this place.

The lamb was really well done (but there could have been just more of it and was overpriced, hence one star off) and the berry mojito and creme brulee were great. Decent ambience sitting outside with a nice weather, proper table cloths and such.
