loved the fixed menu, ambiance, service and especially the custard dessert! ooo not to mention the unlimited sangrias! i have faced a lot of stuck up service--but this place is great and the music makes it even greater! my only regret is not drinking more than 2 cups of sangria =X

I am not sure if I can accurately capture the essence of D'Angelo's. When you walk in, it is dark and ambient. An instrumental version of Moon River was playing in the background. We were greeted by the proprietor, who whisked us upstairs to an intimate setting, away from the other patrons. D'Angelo's really does deserve five stars. Amidst tons of Italian options, I was a little hesitant to try this place out at first. It is not dripping with trend, it is not in South Philly, and despite being on that special restaurant row of 20th St. between Spruce and Locust, I have not really heard much about it. D'Angelo's is a classic dining experience. The staff will take care of every minute detail. My lasanga, not something I usually order, was massive and I ate the whole thing! So delicious! Side note: This sounds a little odd, but I really appreciated the carpeting too. It kept the noise levels down. We had a lovely nook on the second floor, overlooking the tree-lined street. I can't wait to go back.

Was just there last night for a friends Birthday and had an AMAZING time! Think The Beer Garden in Astoria but only on boats! (Yes there is more then one!) The vibe is cool, laid back, and chill. If you want to dance, you can. They have good music, and a DJ! If you just want to kick back, talk with friends have a beer and a view of NJ you can do that too. Its really the best of all worlds. The bucket of corona's takes you back for a second because I got charged $35, but honestly it really comes down to about $6 for a beer (You get 6 Beers) which I consider average in the city. (If not good considering what some places are trying to charge) I'm really excited about going back there in the day time, hanging out with friends, watching the sunset and having one of those cheese burgers. Its my new favorite place! Honestly, I think this place might have made my summer!
