by Adrianne Pyne on Nice venue for sure. You won't have to worry about getting other peoples sweat on you... never gets overly crowded. For the worldly music lovers. Be daring - walk in - and (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised with the genre of the band that's on stage. Drinks are a steal... just thought of the IKEA commercial when the lady gets all excited thinking the cashier didn't ring up all her purchases, "WOOHOO!~" LOL. Anyways, charming outside smoking/lounge area dressed with electric lanterns and park benches. Mixed and friendly type of crowd. Talent is pretty good here too. Ideal place to go for a chill night in Hollywood or simply start your night off here. One of my favorite Hollywood spots.
by Soyoung K. on I totally like going here. Their pizzas are always so delish and I'm totally in love with the seafood salad, calamari app and fresh bread!!!! Oh yes. However, there's seriously something wrong with the service here that everytime I crave Pietro's, I stop myself and choose other place to go instead. Last couple of times I went there, the service was beyond slow and it was totally testing my patience. My drink order took forever to arrive and we killed almost 2/3 of a bottle of wine on a hungry stomach before anything had arrived. I haven't gone back in the last couple months since the last visit was so disappointing. I am seriously hoping that things have changed. Another weak point- the wine list. I don't need a long list of wine but some of their wine by the glass is hit or miss. I'm going to visit sometime soon to bump up the rating...since I want to really like this place.
by Robena Engberson on Absolute crap. I'm not a trendy, cool guy so I was quickly out of my league walking into Halo, after paying a cover that made me feel like I was at The Gold Club again. Jammed packed with douchebags with slicked back hair and girls dressed like pros, this place is the prime example of a club for the ego driven. It's murder just to move around in this place too, and everyone is rude and arrogant from the ten minutes I stayed. Forget the bar completely, you'll never find an open spot to order a drink and even if you do, you can't afford it and won't like it since it's watered down to the bare minimum. If you're into the drug scene, hang out in the bathroom, you'll see a few users and tweakers lining up to bump a line or drop pills as soon as they get into a stall. Always nice to see a good '80s throwback. Then you can look forward to the four block walk back to where you parked, because there is no parking anywhere near the place.
