by Nick C. on 3 Stars for the burger 5 stars for the sweet potato fries and the sauces I was lucky enough to get to try Bobby's Burger Palace on a Friday for lunch. The line was short in placing our order cafeteria style. I opted for the Miami Burger- a take off of a Cuban with a slice of ham, swiss cheese, mustard, mayo pickles and a burger. I ordered mine medium and without mayo. The burger was pressed like a cuban and was cooked excellently- nice and juicy and a little pink in the middle. The overwhelming flavor was the pickles. The sandwich wasn't bad, but I would probably order something different the next time. Now for why this place is so wildly talked about. The sweet potato fries caused me to vocally moan. I felt like Meg Ryan. They were crispy but did not sacrifice taste. To take the fries to another level, the mustard sauce and chipotle ketchup used as dipping sauces were what the youngsters call "off the chain". To put on my Food Network hat, they both featured good heat and the Heinz empire could be in jeopardy. It was orgasmic. For Christmas I want Santa to bring me a case of the chipotle ketchup. I think that it would also work well as a facial mask; the heat could open up the pores. Overall, I can't wait to try this place again. I will try a different burger, hopefully order an adult milkshake and drown myself in sweet potato fries and chipotle ketchup.
by Phillip Kaminsky on Wow What happened to this place. I really don't need to write a review, all the cons of this spot have been covered for me already. Kress is not the place it used to be for me. I was last here a couple months ago and it's just like the reviews before me. Bad service, long waits, nothing special. Hello!!!! Can we get some better management to turn this place around or is it just done?!?!?!
