The people who work here are great. Really efficient and attentive. Horchata was really grainy and all you get is a mouth full of cinnamon. The strawberry agua fresca was so watered down and had no fruit flavor at all. I was really sad because I had nothing to quench my thirst. The Pescado was pretty good. There was definitely too much guac and sour cream, but I can see why everyone raves about this. But this is definitely not even top 5 on my best tacos list. It was just okay... I also tried their chicken quesadilla, which was decent, but again, too much guac and sour cream. I hate to compare it to El Farolito, but shit, it was like 7-11 quality compared to El Farolto quesadillas. Nachos w/ carne asada. Seriously don't get nachos from here. They use the shitty fake nacho cheese instead of real cheese. And the carne asada was really dry and disgusting. So if you're a small Asian girl like me, I would suggest getting ONE Pescado Nick's style. And share like another taco with someone else... or just enjoy your taco with a margarita or something. I really think my meal would have been better with alcohol, but I had to drive home after dinner. I wouldn't eat here again. El Farolito has seriously raised my standards for food. You can get an El Farolito super burrito for the same price as a Pescado Taco Nick's Way.... wtf man? Also, WHY IS THIS PLACE ON THE 7X7 LIST? I'm starting not to believe in that list anymore... -_-

I've eaten and seen a concert @ the Yoshi's in Oakland, and I personally prefer that venue more. My review is only for the concert/lounge portion, since we dined next door (see previous review). Where do I start with the madness? It was THE MOST unorganized event I ever walked into. I had to pick up my tickets at the will-call window and had ZERO instruction from any of the staff as to which line to stand in. Luckily the people already in line were nice enough to guide me through the crazy crowd. Did I mention the line wrapped around the building? Not only were there, what seemed to be 10 different lines, but everyone was confused and irritated with the "mosh pit" of a crowd gathering at the entrance. We finally make it in, and got hooked up with "reserved" seating (which I didn't pay for - #SCORE), but it was right in front where everyone that had "standing room" tickets blocked our entire view! =/ Needless to say, the act (Foreign Exchange), killed it, but it would've been nice to have the night flow seamlessly. Note to Yoshi's: You gotta get it together and step up on being more organized! It makes me not want to come back for future concerts, which is unfortunate because I love watching concerts at smaller, intimate venues such as yours.

Nice decor. Average food :( Would love to try the bar upstairs and on the rooftop Loved the empanadas...also the carrot cake The flat bread was quite boring I'd like to go back sometime to see if my experience varies
