by Tom T. on By far the worst bartenders, and one of the worst bars in the city unless: your new to Philly, are underage and go to Uarts or Temple, are a faux hipster (and/or the above); or are just generally out of touch... Then again can i give 5 stars for a bar that is containing the people who drink here? Anyhow, if you wanna hear crappy songs played by noodles, then Oscars is your place!!
by Athena C. on Came here for restaurant week dinner and we had a great time. I got tuna sashimi, Kung pao chicken and banana bread pudding. The crispy tuna sashimi was huge and it comes with wasabi dip. I really like it! They gave me a very generous portion. The Kung pao chicken is definitely not authentic but it still tastes great and again the portion is huge. I packed the leftover to go. Finally, the pudding is creamy and bananish and goes well with chocolate spring rolls that my bf ordered. The most amazing part about Tao of course, is its decor and atmosphere. I really dig the Asian calligraphy on the wall and the giant budha in the back. It is a great people watching place too. I wouldn't come here for authentic Asian cuisine. Rather, I come here for a great experience and yummy Asian dishes with a twist.
by Ashley Saetteurn on Went on Tuesday night for karaoke. Awesome. Great crowd support. Many random drunk people dancing on stage with karaoke. Lots of fun. I'm Asian, so it's in my blood to karaoke. Beer was good. The crowd was hipster-ish which is a great change of pace for me. Clean establishment. Great decor. Nice staff. Did I mention karaoke was awesome?
